As time passes their coloration will change from blue to a pinkish-purple, until it eventually bursts open and spawns a cluster of Naedocyte Hatchlings. It is periodically created by Breeders, being dropped onto the ground whenever the Breeder's 'mouth' is. It has no attacks of any kind, nor can it even move once it is spawned. The Roe is technically not an enemy, more of an entity which can be destroyed. It will never appear if a Breeder is not present in a level. Roe sacks will stay on the ground where they are dropped, pulsating and writhing in place. The Naedocyte Roe is a special creature, created only by Naedocyte Breeders. They are known to travel great distances back and forth to check up on their myriad egg deposits, and display a level of solemn tenderness that's almost unheard of on Hoxxes.
